All is Good

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an’ pretend
‘Cause I’ve heard it all before
And I’ve been down there on the floor
No one’s ever gonna keep me down again

Oh yes, I am wise
But it’s wisdom born of pain
Yes, I’ve paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to
I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
——Helen Reddy, “I Am Woman”

Hey ladies!  Last week , boy did I roar!  All has been calmer this week.  Some of you may not get the context of today’s post.  I am trying to create some understanding of last weeks post to some of my friends that were trying to help.  I want them to understand that this is a blog for women to read and go ” OMG! I know where Tisha’s coming from!”, ” Yep, PMS sucks!” , “You go sister!”      Thanks to those who did get it like Cindy!

For those of you that didn’t read the comments on last weeks blog, this one is from Cindy and it cracked me up ,….      “I’m sorry…I am LMAO at the moment because I can so relate! At time like these I think back to our visit to Oahu to an old Hawaiian village that we toured. We came to one spot where there was a hut that was separate from the rest of the residents. The tour guide jokingly called it the PMS hut. When the women of the village had their periods, they went to the hut to live. The husbands took care of the home and children and had to bring the women their meals to the hut while they were in there. Now that’s what I call service! Garages are wasted on the men, they should be converted to a place of refuge for us. Thanks for the smile and keep ‘em on their toes!”

I am very blessed to have a man who loves and respect me.  I know after last weeks “rage of the beer cans” you are wondering how I can be so kind , but what woman has not had one of those days when the little things become the breaking point.  My husband is exactly the man I want him to be.  I would never change him.  He is the one thing in my life that keeps me calm and focus.  He makes me laugh!  I love him with every breath and I know how much he loves me, too.  Granted he does things that drive me crazy but so does everyone.  We all are human so we are not perfect!   Last weeks post was not only about him.  He’s  just more entertaining to write about.  I have to be careful of how I write him in because a couple of girlfriends and female family members approached him about my blog.  My blog is not meant to be written in order for anyone to put blame on other people or try to help the situation.  I thank you all for caring about me enough to want to help, I really do, but please don’t try to help.

It dosen’t  matter if it is Rusty leaving cans in the sink or the lady holding up the express line because she is chatting on her cell phone,  there is NO  escaping the dreaded PMS monster!  You know the one where your hair is standing up, lighting bolts are shooting out of your eyes, flames are rising around you and you voice has lowered to make you sound like James Earl Jones!  Ok, not really but wouldn’t that be cool?!

This blog is my release from the pressures of everyday life.  I have really good girlfriends who care but I am not the type of person who wants to bitch every time I see them.  Sometimes it happens but I think that is human nature.  My little “fits” are so petty compare to the things some of my friends have gone, are going and will go through.

So if it looks like I am having a really frustrating day or week I would love you to drop by work or call me for lunch just to give me a smile, but don’t try to fix things for me.  Only I can do that.

And remember I’m here  with my ears to listen when you have a bad day or week, but I can’t fix it.  I love you all!

  1. lol, I NEVER tell Rusty anything….. I would seriously hurt someone that told Nelson things I say. Write or say what you want around me. no worries
    love you tish-a-nator!!

  2. I love your honest to goodness posts because you write what we can all relate to and sometimes it is just great to read something and be able to say to oneself….’Gosh, I’m not the only one!” 😉

So true…it’s nothing that needs fixing, just a little understanding and sisterly love will do!
Have yourself a good one! 😉
