Grilled Pizza

   Rusty came home to pizza and a movie friday night. I cook the pizza  on our charcoal grill.  Pizza on a charcoal grill adds a great flavor to the crust.  We don’t use starter fluid.  We love the chimney starter because you get no lighter fluid taste.  When I’m not in a rush I make my own dough but the ready-made ones can be just as good.

  You want to put your coals to one side because it need to be cooked on indirect heat.  If you have a kettle grill place the coals in a semi-circle around the edges.

1  Boboli ready-made crust ( they have small ones that are great for kids to top their own)

  Mix 1 tablespoon of  melted butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.  Brush  on both sides of the crust.  Put crust directly over heat for a minute or two on each side.  You are just trying to brown it a little & get the grill marks.

 Now you are ready to assemble you pizza with your favorite toppings.

My favorite is

      Tomato sauce w/ garlic

      bell pepper, mushroom , red onion, jalapeno, Roma tomatoes, fresh basil & provolone cheese.

  Put your pizza on the grill away from the coals.  Close lid and cook for 10 minutes then turn the pizza around for 10 minutes cook till cheese is  melted.  Serve with beer and a movie.
